Serbia at tourism fairs in Bucharest and Zagreb
The tourism fair “TTR 2015” began on Thursday and will run through March 15.
The offer and sights of Belgrade and Serbia will be presented at the tourism fair in Bucharest, the Tourism Organization of Belgrade (TOB) has announced.
According to the City Institute of Informatics and Statistics, Belgrade welcomed 17,379 tourists from Romania last year, TOB said in a release.
The Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS) will showcase the country's offer at the fair in Zagreb from March 13 to 15.
Visitors will have an opportunity to learn first-hand the richness and diversity of Serbia's entire tourist offer - its natural beauties, cities, music festivals.
On Thursday, the day before the opening, TOS will organize a meeting between representatives of the hotel industry and tourist agencies from Serbia with their Croatian colleagues. Over 20 tourist entities from both countries have registered for the event.
According to the official statistical data, Serbia welcomed 63,779 tourists from Croatia in 2014, which is 19 percent up on the year.
Croatian tourists are ranked fourth according to the total number of overnight stays made by foreign tourists in Serbia, TOS stated.
