NONE WILL ESCAPE THE JUSTICE: An indictment against five suspected of committing a crime in Strpce!
Members of the 'Avengers' formation from the Visegrad brigade and others from VRS killed and treated prisoners in a non human manner
Five members of a former Republika Srpska army were indicted by the war crimes prosecution. Gojko Lukic, Ljubisa Vasiljevic, Dusko Vasiljevic, Jovan Lipovac and Dragana Djekic are under reasonable suspicion that they were accomplices to a crime against civilians in Strpci, Prelovo and Musici (BiH) on the 27th of february 1993.
Members of 'Avengers' formation from Visegrad, alongside already convicted Nebojsa Radisavljevic, were under the command of Milan Lukic and under the ranks of Republika Srpska army. They have been accused of maltreating, physically injuring and helping the killing of non-Serbian civilians.
At the Strpce train station, around 3:30 pm, Milan Lukic held up the JZ 671 train which was traveling from Belgrade to Bar. After the train stopped, the suspects surrounded it with weapons and hand grenades in their hands. Several members of the unit entered the train and legitimated the passengers, marking 20 of them as non-Serbians.
After they transported them to the elementary school in Prelovo, they forced them to the school's gym by hitting them with hands,guns and by kicking them. After that they went on with the beatings inside the gym. When they took their money and other values, the accused made them strip to their underwear.Under extremely cold weather, barefeet, hands tied by wire, the accused beat them again, inflicting the injuries all over the body. Eventually,they were put back on the truck by which they came.
In the outskirts of Music village they were transported in groups to the burnt-down house. Here Milan Lukic and Boban Indjic, after they commanded the civilians to lie down, killed them in groups by shooting them in the head. The accused Gojko Lukic, Dusko Vasiljevic, Ljubisa Vasiljevic, Jovan Lipovac and Dragana Djekic gave the essential contribution by transporting the civilians from Prelovo to Musica, and by guarding them all along.
In 2010, in the lake Perucac area, the remains of some of the civilians were found. Rasim Coric, Jusuf Rastoder, Halil Zupcevic and Ilijaz Licina were identified and Esad kapetanovic, Fehima Bakiju, Seca Softic, Rafet Husovic, Senad Djecevic, Ismet Babacic, Toma Buzov, Adem Alomerovic, Muhedin Hanic, Safet Preljevic, Dzafer Topuzovic, Fikret memovic, Fevzija Zekovic, Nijazim Kajevic, Zvezdan Zulicic are yet to be found.
The prosecutors of BiH are investigating 10 more suspects concerning this crime - ex commander of Visegrad brigade VRS Luka Dragicevic, commander of the elite brigade Boban Indjic, Petko Indjic, Vuk Ratkovic, Novak and Obrad Poluga, Radojica Ristic, Oliver Krsmanovic, Dragan Lakic and Momir Nikolic. They have been under custody since 5th of December 2014, arrested in the joint operation by Serbian police forces and the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
