Novak Djokovic's great leap on ATP list after winning of Cincinnati (PHOTO)
Novak Djokovic won all the masters trophies and he entered the history of tennis as a first one who ever succeeded in doing that.
The success in the only Masters Tournament that he was missing had a significant impact on Novak's standing on ATP list, since he jumped from the 10th place to the 6th place after winning 1.000 points, and he will have a better status prior to US Open. He will be one of the favorites for the title.
That means that thanks to entering the top 8 players on the list, he prevented possible duels with Nadal and Federer in the fourth round of US open, and that duel could happen only in the quarter-finals in New York.
Novak now has 4.445 ATP points, and there is no doubt that he will continue to progress on the list and he will soon pass over Kevin Anderson and Alexander Zverev, while Del Potro is on the third place with 1.000 points to go.
The absolute first on the list is Rafael Nadal with 10.040 points, while the other defeated finalist of the finals in Cincinnati, Roger Federer, is in the second place with 7.080 points.
