THE CALL OF THE MUNDIAL: Serbia has greatly risen on FIFA ranking list
The Serbian national football team, thanks to the victories over Moldova (3: 0) and the Republic of Ireland (1: 0) this month, made a huge 10-point leap on the latest FIFA list and now it's 32nd in the world.
New six points in the qualifications for the World Championship in Russia brought additional 76 points for the total of 789 points in the list.
Serbia broke in front of Senegal and rivals in the qualifications, the Republic of Ireland, which is two places weaker, while we are just behind Netherlands, Egypt, and Tunisia.
When it comes to other opponents from the group, Wales improved their placement for 5 places and now they are 13th, Austria has fallen and they are now 57th. Georgia is 103 and Moldova is 156.
There have been changes in the top again. Germany returned to the first place in front of Brazil after a month, Portugal is now third after the progress of three places, and then goes Argentina, Belgium, Poland, Switzerland, France, Chile, Columbia...
The next FIFA list will be announced on October 16th, just after the regular end of qualifications in which Serbian footballers will visit Austria in Vienna and welcome Georgia.
