Montenegro officially joins NATO alliance today: Ceremony is held in Washington
Montenegro will officially become 29th member of NATO today, on a ceremony in Washington which will attended by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Montenegrin Prime Minister and Foreign minister Dusko Markovic and Srdjan Darmanovic.

As announced by Montenegro government, Minister Darmanovic will give the accession protocol to the United States, the depositaryu of the founding treato of the North Atlantic Alliance, which was previously ratified by all NATO members.
NATO Founding Act, which was adopted Montenegro, commits all parties to solve all international disputes, in which they could be included, in peaceful manner.
An armed attack against one or more NATO member, is an attack on all of them, it says in the contract.
Montenegro designated as a strategic goal accession to the European Union and NATO.
Official relations between Montenegro and NATO began at the end of 2006, calling upon Montenegro to join NATO's Partnership for Peace. The official invitation to join NATO was sent to Montenegro on 2 December 2015.
