Predictions for Balkans have never been worse: If they come true, complete chaos is threatening us!
New wave of conflicts will start which will result in changing of borders as we know them today, when the influence of the West fades over Balkans.
The new refugee waves, such as those in the 90s, would sweep Balkans again. Timothy Less claims this in his analysis, former head of the British Embassy in Banja Luka and director of the agency "New Europe", which deals with the assessment of political risk in Eastern Europe.
Less says that the chaos will begin with secession of Republika Srpska, which will join Serbia by referendum. According to him, Russia will be for this strongly, and they will accept the weakening of West with open hands.
That will start a domino effect, claims Less. Croats from Bosnia will try to secede the part of the land where they live in in and to join it with Croatia, who would help them with all heart. Albanians in Macedonia will rebel and they will try to take a big part of the country. Expanded Albania would then get Kosovo, accomplishing the goal of creating terrorist Great Albania.
Apocalyptic analysis of British academic and diplomat does not stop at that. According to him, a pro-Serb population of Montenegro, which accounts for half the population of this country, will strive for the merger with the now expanded Serbia. For all that, Greece and Bulgaria will lurk for their peace of land, which would have a peak at the rest of Macedonia, says Less.
Russia would benefit from this kind of epilogue and would significantly strengthen its position in the Balkans, primarily because of the traditionally good relations with the Orthodox countries like Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, and even Bulgaria.
The big problem would cause the rapid growth of Islamic extremism, which would undoubtedly attracted many jihadists from Saudi Arabia and other similar countries, according to Less. Bearing in mind what the monstrous crimes jihadists committed in nineties, the escalation of violence in some parts of the Balkans would be inevitable. Such a scenario would only inflame the growing Islamization of Europe, considered British.
EU and US not to recognize such a redrawing of borders, and would certainly put a lot of effort to prevent this outcome. However, Less believes the power of the West would drop so much by then, they will be able to do nothing.
- Maybe a new Balkan order will not happen tomorrow, but as the power of the EU fades, the date of commencement of this conflict is getting closer - the British professor is convinced in the accuracy of his gloomy forecasts.
