Hero with no hands amazed Balkans: Six year old Ismail won golden medal in swimming (PHOTO) (VIDEO)

Six year old Ismail Zulfic from Zenica, who was born without hands, can do anything with his courage, no matter the disability, he amazed the entire region. He won golden medal yesterday in Zagreb on ninth Regional Swimming Championship of Croatia for people with disability.

- We worked hard and trained. It was tiresome to endure everything, but it payed off. This competition is the crown of our dedicated work and effort - said Amel Kapo, trainer of Swimming club "Spid", writes 24sata.hr.

Ismail has been doing everything since his childhood by himself. He learned how to swim on his own. Last year he became a member of the swimming club "Spid" from Sarajevo, and the fact that he can swim an Olympic pool is enough to say how good he is.

- Six kids from our club are here. Ismail swam in his category, 50 meters backstroke. When he came to the goal he said with a great smile: "I won" - Kapo remembered.

He said that contenders from his club, with Ismails medal, took home 5 gold and 2 silver medals.

- Ismail lives in Zenica, and he is coming twice a week to the training in Sarajevo. He is really a great boy, full of life and positive energy. There are no obstacles for him. The pool is everything to him - said the parents of little hero.

- It is very important to him to win. His parents were also at the competition when he won gold, and there were a lot of tears of joy. I am immensely happy and proud, both on him and on the success of all other children in the club - admitted the coach.

Ismail is training swimming with his younger sister Hana, who was born without physical disability. Parents accompany them proudly from the stands and they do not make any distinction between them.

This boy was born with no hands, one of his legs is bent, and the other has joined fingers. Despite everything, he is eating on his own, drives a bike, plays games, draws, writes and there are truly no obstacles for him.
