At least 35 people are victims of Facebook scam organized by certain Milos and Djordje, presenting themselves as organizers for trip to Berlin. The bus-full of workers from Serbia should expect the provided transport, work and place to stay.
Advertisement asking for workers of different profiles in Germany was recently placed on numerous Facebook groups.
Thanks to Ljubinka Stanisic from Lazarevo near Zrenjanin, mother of four, who posted that she payed the last coin from her house for a ticket to Berlin because she was promised that she will get a job for a cleaning lady in the next 3 months, dozens of people answered saying they were crossed by the same people.
- Lots of people contacted me on Facebook, mostly people from Prokuplje, Pancevo, Belgrade, Vrsac, Uzice. Most of them reported the fraud to the police, and almost everybody i contacted with said the same name and the same process - to pay 100 euros for the trip - says Ljubinka Stanisic.
Before discovering that she is a victim of Facebook fraud, she gathered money to get her passport, and before that she resigned from company in Zrenjanin where she worked for wage of 20.000 dinars.
She payed few days before the arranged transport to Berlin, on 20th November, 6.000 dinars on the name Gojko Markovic and the address Grada Sirena 20 in Kragujevac.
Allegedly, Markovic supposed to be the driver of the bus, who should pick up passengers on that day on few locations, in Belgrade, Zrenjanin, Novi Sad and Ibar highway.
Fraudsters presented themselves as Milos and Djordje and they left their phone numbers. What was told to the victims is that they only have the transport expenses of 100 euros.
Ljubinka said that she did not suspect anything until the last moment, until Sunday morning, because the organizers seemed serious and they were available to every question. However, that day, she was left waiting with few more people for the same bus on the bus station in Zrenjanin, waiting for the bus from Kragujevac. Besides her, few more people waited in Belgrade and in Novi Sad, and one man, waited for three hours on Ibar highway, near Gornji Milanovac.
The link from Facebook, as well as the telephone numbers that Milos and Djordje contacted the victims were given to the police, and also the Prosecution of high-tech crime.
