I ESCAPED FROM THE WORST PRISON IN THE WORLD, GUARDS ARE SLOPPY! Member of PINK PANTHER and former Red Star basketball player amazed the world

- My son, I'm going to escape from prison. I'll come home and we will not ever be separated, she said as a covenant Olivera Cirkovic, a 193 centimeters tall former Red Star basketball player, former Panatinaikos and Pankrati player and member of a "Pink Panther" band, when she decided to escape from the Athens' best guarded prison Koridalo. And I was the only one to succeed in my endeavor.

On her decision to escape from the cell was influenced by a social worker from prison, who had dragged her free days, and Olivera's Greek lawyer, namely his neglect to court to deliver the required papers on time, as well as within the legal deadline to submit an appeal.

- My failure to appear in from of the court was interpreted as contempt of court and i was strictly condemned to a prison sentence of eight years. If I had to defend myself, I would get a maximum of two years! - Wrote Cirkovic.

- You just don't shoot at angels - said Dragan's mother when he told her he wounded a police officer.

She was arested in 2011. This sentence for robbery, which she did not have the strength to tell her son, who was in Belgrade, influenced the decision to escape from prison.

And Arhondisi - woman - dragon, as they called her acquaintances but also the media in Greece, helped painting, a passion she discovered after the end of his basketball career.

- My escape was not planed by any criminal group, nor was paid millions. It is totally personal act and utilization of a clumsy situation - says the most famous member of the "Panthers".

Former basketball player is now serving her sentence in prison, "Eleonas Tiva", which is also the place where the most infamous prisoner of Greece is, that is a woman that killed the mistress of her husband, chopped her to pieces, baked her and served her to her husband and his parents.

With painting she became close with the prison commander, who proposed to her to paint her office. That room was one room away from the lobby of the main entrance. This is where Olivera saw her chance. She was painting the office for a month, and she planed her escape plan in detail including few helpers - Baja, Tony and Rex.

She notified her best friend Dragan about the escape, who was at the time also in prison because of the robbery, but also shooting a policeman, and her ex husband in Belgrade. An acquaintance from Athens helped her, renting a place near the prison. 

Olivera Cirkovic marks "Pink Panther" gang in her book as an artistic family, and that is actually a name Interpol agents gave the international criminal group specialized in stealing jewelry. According to the Interpol, the group is consisted of around 500 members, mostly from Serbia, and it is estimated that they are responsible of stealing more than 500 million dollars.
