Citizens of Belgrade and numerous tourists who decided to visit the state's capital for the New Year's Eve spent the night in restaurants and clubs, but many people also gathered at the Nikola Pašić square, in front of the Serbian National assembly.

With a cocktail of fireworks, trumpeters and good music, the New Year was greeted in high spirits.
The celebration started somewhat after 8 PM with the performance of Serbian "Tropiko bend".
Even though the temperature was below zero, Steven Seagal managed to warm up the atmosphere even more, and finally, Serbian folk diva Lepa Brena welcomed the people into the new year.
Famous American actor and musician played well-known tunes, and he said later that he missed Belgrade.

Despite the freezing temperature, Belgrade's city center was packed with people wishing to enjoy some "Rock and Roll from Šumadija"!
Together with Lepa Brena, citizens of Belgrade welcomed the new year, and before her performed Steven Seagal.
In the backstage, Brena's husband took a closer look at the famous actor, since they are both of the similar stature.
The folk diva went out in front of 25000 people and started singing her famous song "Udji slobodno" and then she sang some old songs from the 80's but also some of the new hits.
The greatest diva on the Balkans showed once more the superb fitness, proving the fact that in live shows she has no match, even when the temperature is -5 C!
