BELGRADE HAS A TAXI THAT GIVES FREE RIDES: But only if you sing something!

"Singing Taxi" (Raspevani Taksi) is part of an art expedition in which Belgraders will have the opportunity to ride a cab completely free - all you need to do is sing the "drivers" a song, play something or just tell a positive story from your life.

The art Expedition "Sound Development City" which will take place between Belgrade and Athens from September 9 to 27, brings together 13 international artists. Among them are Luka, Friedrich and Sven, who will drive Belgraders around the city for free til September 15th and expect only a song or story in return. The idea is for people to share a bit of optimism and show the happier side of our city.

- In Germany, we keep hearing about the crisis in both Belgrade and Athens, and in this way we want to encourage people to tell us a positive story, something positive that is happening in their lives right now, or to sing, play something ... We left Germany, are now in Belgrade, and will continue on to Athens and in the end, we will make a full circle - says Friedrich, who, together with Sven is driving around town in a white van these days.

With complete sound equipment, the van promises a safe, but also very joyful ride.

- We plan to attract people in such a way that will set up signs on the van, and we hope that enough people will want to take a ride with us. I believe that people here still have optimism and they will want show it in this manner, and in driving them we will help them - says Friedrich.

The forerunners of this expedition are expecting to attract mostly young people, but note that they would be very happy if they were joined by older citizens.

- This is our first time in Belgrade and for now it is reminiscent of Eastern Berlin of the millennium years. It's nice - says Sven with a smile.

Otherwise, the project "Sound Development City" is a three-week artistic expedition between two European cities, launched initially in 2012 by the organization "Sound Development" from Zurich, with the aim of encouraging the creative freedom of authors who express themselves in different artistic disciplines.
