"We would accept it right away and we would like that, as such an initiative is worth more than any of the initiatives coming from Brussels or other centers of power, because when we act of our own accord, becoming aware of the need to settle our differences ourselves, we are showing that we are not doing it to win political points but rather to secure a better future for ourselves and our children," said Vucic.

Vucic: Bosniaks, Serbs, Croats should build common trust

Speaking at a joint press conference after a meeting he had in Belgrade with Milorad Pupovac, president of the Serb National Council and vice-president of the Independent Democratic Serb Party in Croatia, Prime Minister Vucic said he believed that after a while, the idea would be widely supported by all.

Vucic: My fear is of regional instability

Vucic said that he would speak about his initiative at a conference on the Western Balkans in Vienna on August 27, despite the fact that it had met with refusal by Milanovic and Kosovo Prime Minister Hasim Taci and Bakir Izetbegovic saying that it had arrived too early.
