Vulin said that he waited too long for Serbia to mark the Day of Remembrance for the suffering and persecution of Serbs and added that there is no accurate list of how many people were killed. He noted that it is word of about 2,000 killed and missing and pointed out that it is Serbia's obligation to precisely edit the list with the names of these people.
Vulin has pointed out that the Remembrance Day of "Operation Storm" is a way to show that Serbia, in a civilized and human way, is in mourning.
- All the bells of Serbian Orthodox Churches will be heard at the same time. I ask all to stop at 12 pm when they hear the sirens and bells - to stop and be reminded of those who were before us and those who perished. We have a reason to mourn - said Vulin.
Vulin has pointed out that all the necessary legislation will be changed in order for August 5 to be legally set as a day of mourning and added that there is no ideology that will stop Serbia from marking August 5th as a Day of Remembrance for the victims and those missing.
Commenting on the decision by Sarajevo to ban the commemoration of the victims, Vulin said that it is a great shame for the government in BiH, because, as I said, Sarajevo has called for the world to show solidarity with its victims.
- And now it turns out that in the same Sarajevo, Serbs have no right to a piece of cobblestone to come together and say that they mourn over the nearly 250,000 compatriots that were expelled - said Vulin.
With regards to the military parade in Zagreb, Vulin said that the withdrawal of NATO from the parade is a great victory for Serbia and a major event, which shows that for the first time, a diplomatic initiative is ready to change things.
