One person M. T. (57) was killed in the fire while Ljubivoje Tadic and his mother, who also lived in the apartment were transported to the Emergency Centre. The actor suffered burns of second and third degree, and is located in the department for Plastic Surgery, and his mother is in poor condition and has been placed in the intensive care unit.
- It was full of smoke, we were numb from the fear - said for "Blic" one of the neighbors on the scene. The neighbors stated that the family Tadic has been living in the apartment since a few years ago.
As confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a fire broke out in an apartment on the first floor when the flames engulfed a room of 25 square meters. The flames engulfed the room of the deceased and doctors confirmed her death immediately upon arrival.
- One person was killed and two were injured in a fire that broke out this morning around 3:30 on the corner of Makenzijeva Street and Koce Kapetana in Belgrade - said the Emergency spokesperson Nada Macura. Macura told Tanjug that the doctors ascertained the death of a woman aged about 57 years old, whose body was charred.
- We were all immediately evacuated, and the fire was quickly extinguished - said neighbor Branimir Pejović.
According to other neighbors in the building, there was a lot of smoke and everyone was scared, but were pleasantly surprised by the quick and discreet reaction of the firefighters.
On the scene were fire rescue unit "Novi Beograd" and "Vozdovac".
