Relatives of victims from Leskovac, that were killed by a barge driven by a Turkish native on the highway say that for the last few days, numerous lawyers have been offering their services to seek compensation from the truck driver who caused the accident near Nis.

- I have not even come to terms with the death of my relative, and I have already been called by a few lawyers and offered assistance in order to recover damages from the Turkish truck driver that caused this horrendous accident in Nis - tells one of the relatives of the four victims.

The formal investigation has not yet commented on the circumstances of this terrible accident, according to the first estimates, the trucker is to blame for the accident. The same was assessed by Nis lawyers who offer their assistance to the families of the victims.

Families and relatives are angry because they say they "swarm them like vultures."

- One Nis lawyer met me today in the hospital and offered to represent my cousin in the trial of the Turkish truck driver. He stressed that we could win a large compensation for the deceased and asked how to get in touch with their families. I was shocked, a man was seriously injured, and they are thinking about compensation - an interlocutor says for the Belgrade daily.

And one of the close relatives of the killed passenger in the car crash says he had a similar experience.

In four Leskovac villages yesterday, the victims of the horrible car accident were buried, and funerals were attended by several hundred people.

At the last send-off of the workers, emergency help intervened.

The two survivors, Mehmed D. (62) the truck driver and Aleksandar Jovanovic (28) from Leskovac, also a worker for the company "Centum", are in intensive care departments for neurosurgery and orthopedics in the Clinical Center Nis. Their condition is stable.

The stories of the surviving victims, Aleksandar and the turkish driver are drastically different. Aleksandar claims that the vehicle was parked in the emergency lane and properly marked, and the truck driver says he did not see them at all until he ran into them.
