SERBS ARE SUING MONTENEGRO AND ASKING FOR 11 MILLION EUROS: The most luxurious hotel "Splendid" sprung up on Serbian land!
The Company "Zastava vehicles" from Kragujevac sued the hotel group "Montenegro stars", which owns a super luxurious hotel called "Splendid" in Becici and is asking for 11 million euros for the land on which the hotel was built!
According to Montenegrin media, the lawsuit was filed to the Commercial Court in Podgorica, and in it "Zastava Vehicles" claimed compensation for the land whose co-owner was still in socialist Yugoslavia.
As stated, in this dispute the state of Montenegro may be involved, considering that the government in Podgorica, in selling the old "Splendid", undertook all future lawsuits.
The CEO of the Group "Zastava" Dragan Srejovic confirmed to "Nase Novine" this information and explained that the lawsuit was filed on April 14th of this year!
Montenegrin companies interested in buying Serbian ones
- We have all the documentation to prove that we bought the land in the 60s as well as evidence that we readily paid everything - says Srejovic.
According to Podgorica news "Vijesti", the co-owner of "Splendid" Zarko Radulovic, is surprised by the news of the lawsuit.
- They cannot sue us, let them sue the state. We had 18 cases and won each one - he says and adds that during the purchase of land from the company HTP "Budva Riviera", the purchase contract had a special clause which meant that the state of Montenegro undertook all possible disputes related to land.

So it's apparent that Radulovic knew that he was buying stolen land if it was necessary for him to get guarantees from the kleptocratic government of montenegro that he would not be prosecuted for the theft of valuable real estate.
